They are cut out of 1/8th plate formed to fit the side of the bed and clear the tailgate (Note some slight adjusting may be needed to clear the tailgate).
The 2nd Gen mount bolts with 3 factory bolt holes. And the 1st Gen bolts to the tailgate latch.
